What it treats:

Frequently Asked Questions

The BBL HERO Forever Body treatment uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to target the pigment within the skin. It flashes specialized light as it is quickly moved across the treatment area. The pigment is initially darkened, helping you know that you had an optimal treatment. Within the next several days, your body’s natural healing process will remove the pigmented cells and replace them with fresh, new, undamaged cells.

BBL® HERO Body addresses imperfections on the surface of the skin, as well as deep-rooted pigmentation issues, across the body in a matter of minutes.

During treatment, you should feel minimal to no discomfort as your provider gently glides the BBL® HERO handpiece across the skin. Simultaneously, a sapphire on the end of its applicator will keep the skin cool and comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 30 to 60 minutes.

This can vary depending on the individual, the area being treated, and the settings used. However, most patients see results in 2-4 weeks.

There is no downtime associated with the BBL®HERO Body treatment, making it a popular choice for those looking for long-term results without sacrificing time for significant recovery away from their everyday activities.

Depending on the number of passes (times the device is applied to a specific area) deemed necessary by your provider, you may experience minor redness or swelling for up to five days post-treatment. This is a natural and expected response by the skin, indicating that the treatment was performed correctly.

It is important that you wear a physical barrier (sunscreen, clothing) and limit your sun exposure after treatment.

You will see results from a single treatment. However, the number of treatments will depend on the severity of your pigmentation concerns. A typical patient requires three or more treatments.
